Living proof that even the most extreme and dedicated athletes don't have to sacrifice their right to start a family. U.S. marathon runners, Kathrine Switzer and Kara Goucher, shared a due date of September 29, 2010, and planned their pregnancies to give them enough time to return to the 2012 Olympics. Their pregnancies didn't stop them from training hard, though, and they even reported feeling the extra strength that comes with the bolstered blood supply of a pregnancy term. Three cheers for fitness, health, and most importantly, balance.
